Neural Terminal: Chat-to-Build Trading Platform on MT5 Data
A TradingView-replacement SaaS where a client connects their broker, charts on it, and builds and optimises an EA by chatting.
Browser charting over an MT5 data agent (one terminal per account, data-only by design), no third-party market-data vendor, stubbed agent contract for testing without broker passwords, and a takeover document for the next engineer.

- MT5-only data policy enforced in code
- Data-only agent with no order path
- Stub agent + harness allow full tests without credentials
- Takeover documentation written for hand-off
Neural Terminal is my answer to "what would TradingView look like if the chart, the broker and an AI strategy builder were one product". A client connects their MT5 broker, charts live and historical data from it, and then describes or refines an Expert Advisor in a chat panel that builds, backtests and optimises it.
A firm product decision shapes the data layer: MT5 is the only market-data source. A vendor proxy and its rate limiter were removed so that nothing loads until a broker session exists; the only other input is a user-imported CSV. Data reaches the browser through a FastAPI agent that runs one terminal process per connected account, and that agent is data-only: it has no code path that can place, modify or close an order, which keeps the charting product cleanly separated from execution.
The repo can be tested without any broker password: a stub agent answers the agent's exact contract and a harness connects an account before each test. A takeover document describes the worktree layout and the git pitfalls so the next engineer can pick it up cold.
How it works
- Client connects a broker account; the agent starts a terminal for it
- Browser requests bars and quotes through the agent
- Chat panel turns a description into EA code
- Backtest and optimisation run against the account's history
- Results and charts return to the browser; no orders are placed
