TopBottom BankNifty Live Dashboard for a Client
A password-gated live trading dashboard for the 4-rule Top-Bottom system, deployed on the client's own Windows cloud server.
Reused the natural-gas engine architecture with the TopBottom engine and Dhan execution; unattended daily TOTP login verified, lot size read from the scrip master after a sizing bug, deployed over RDP drive redirection.

- Unattended daily broker login verified on a live Monday
- Lot size sourced from the scrip master, never hard-coded
- Deployed on the client's own infrastructure with SSH access set up from scratch
- Separate trading/data entitlement health checks
After the Top-Bottom BankNifty strategy was decoded and verified in Pine, the client wanted it running live with orders, not signals. The dashboard reuses the proven engine shell from the natural-gas project (dashboard, arming, safety logic) with the TopBottom 4-rule engine and Dhan as the broker, chosen because it was the only broker with order-placement code already battle-tested in-house.
Deployment was onto the client's own Windows Server in their cloud project, which had no Python, the wrong timezone and only RDP open. OpenSSH was installed, the app copied over RDP drive redirection, and two scheduled tasks created: one that serves the dashboard at startup with auto-restart, and one that performs the Dhan mobile-TOTP-PIN login every weekday morning. The first Monday it logged in unattended and came up with live data without anyone touching it.
Two lessons are now standing rules. BankNifty's lot size is read from the scrip master rather than assumed, after order sizing and P&L briefly disagreed. And Dhan splits trading and data entitlements on the same token, so a valid token is not a sufficient health check; the data subscription must be verified separately.
Executes live broker orders for a client; shared as engineering work, not financial advice.
How it works
- Morning task performs the TOTP login and stores the day's token
- Engine pulls BankNifty futures candles and evaluates the 4-rule system
- Signals become Dhan orders with per-lot sizing from the scrip master
- Dashboard shows positions, P&L and arm/disarm controls behind a password
- Service auto-restarts on reboot via scheduled tasks
