DayRecap — Android Meeting Assistant

A privacy-first Android meeting recorder with on-device transcription.

One-tap recording, on-device Whisper transcription, Claude daily summaries, and Markdown upload to your own Google Drive.

What makes it serious
  • One-tap recording on Android
  • On-device Whisper transcription
  • Claude-generated daily summaries
  • Markdown saved to the user's own Google Drive

DayRecap is a privacy-first Android meeting assistant in the Otter.ai category. One tap starts recording; transcription runs on-device with Whisper so audio never has to leave the phone for that step; Claude then produces a clean daily summary; and the Markdown output is uploaded to the user's own Google Drive rather than a third-party vault.

The privacy posture is the whole point — transcription happens locally and storage is your Drive, so you keep control of sensitive meeting content. Built natively in Kotlin, it shows range beyond web and trading into real mobile engineering. Doing transcription on the device and writing summaries to your own Drive means sensitive meeting content is never parked in a third-party vault, and building it natively in Kotlin shows the range extends into real mobile engineering beyond web and trading.
